How We Can Help
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is an evidence-led approach to medical treatment that can help to repair damage, reduce pain and prevent recurrence of your symptoms. It can help people of all ages and conditions, whether you are suffering from mild back and neck pain or have undergone major surgery and require post-operative specialist rehabilitation. Every appointment at The Caton Clinic is tailored to an individual’s needs, using a holistic approach to help you back to your best.
Assessment and treatment is available for a number of issues and can include:
-
Aches and pain, such as back or neck pain, or shoulder stiffness
-
Upper limb conditions, including the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist
-
Lower limb conditions, including the groin, hip, knee, ankle and foot
-
Sporting injuries
-
Adolescent injuries (growth related)
-
Post-operative rehabilitation
-
Posture-related problems
It is often more common for people to seek the help of a physiotherapist once they have suffered an injury or are in pain. Physiotherapists can also assist with prevention of these injuries by addressing any underlying physical deficits, which in turn can reduce your risk of injury in the future. This can be particularly helpful if you are about to take up a new sport, type of exercise or participate in an organised event.
So, if you have any pain or injury, or if you want to improve your physical condition and performance, we are here to help you.
Children's physiotherapy
It is not just adults that suffer from injuries, aches and pains. The Caton Clinic also offers appointments for children and teenagers.
We can develop and implement individualised musculoskeletal education programmes and management techniques to help children and teenagers reach their full potential.
Soft tissue therapy
Soft tissue therapy can improve muscle performance, enhance flexibility, and increases a person's range of motion around their joints. It can be a valuable adjunct to active individuals and for those recovering from injury.
Some of the reported benefits of soft tissue therapy include:
Increased joint range of motion
Increased flexibility
Increased sense of well-being
Decreased muscle tension
Decreased neurological excitability (nerves are more relaxed)
Decreased muscle spasms
Better sleep
We offer individualised session designed to help restore the body to its optimal state.

Telehealth appointments
Our online service is available for you from the comfort of your own home, if you are unable to attend the clinic or have a face-to-face appointment.
We will assess you via a video call which will then allow us to prescribe a personalised exercise rehabilitation programme. We will be available for regular check-ups to address your progress and to answer any questions you may have.
Please be aware that in some instances it may be essential for us to assess you in person and if this is the case then we may be unable to fulfil this appointment online.
We tailor our services to meet your individual needs.
